Preaction automatic sprinkler systems are similar to a dry-pipe system, but air pressure may or may not be used. The main sprinkler system control valve is opened by an actuating device, which permits water to flow to the individual sprinkler heads and the system then functions as a wet-pipe system. It is generally used in areas where piping systems are subject to mechanical damage and where it is important to prevent accidental discharge of water. FireWater Services, Inc.'s technicians are thoroughly familiar with how to install and inspect preaction sprinkler system in accordance to NFPA 25. To discuss a preaction sprinkler system inspection for your place of business, or if you have any questions, please call one of our representatives, at (281) 855-1970.
